Sponsor A Child's Education for 20,000 naira per Session

Hello Beautiful People,

As the legend Nelson Mandela said and I quote:

"Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world"

You will agree with me that, he was very right, God rest his soul.

We all complain so much about how the nation Nigeria is, this, this and that, maybe if enough people were educated, the country would be better?

Education is golden, it is the best gift you can give to anyone that can not afford it.

You can never tell if that child will be in a position of power tomorrow.

Either you are educated or not, it is important we educate the future generation.

Maybe if our parents in their era were that educated, Nigeria would be a better place.

Maybe if our parents were that educated, they would take on family planning and not have so many children the can not take care of.

Look at the developed countries, they put a lot of time, effort and funds into education.

Not because there is no need for all that funds elsewhere, but because they know the value of education as a society.

So long story short,  please if you can afford to sponsor a child, here is your chance.

It is not even that expensive. With a minimum of N20, 000 (naira) You can sponsor a child for a session.

I mean 20k (Less than £70 )in 3 months ( a session) is almost nothing to a lot of people.

Please please please, sponsor a child.

Here are the details if you are that way inclined

Please click the link below and it will take you directly to the form you need to fill

Sponsor a Child's Education

Super Rich Nigerians now on Same Spending League as Chinese and Russian Millionaires in London

It is official and in the news, Nigerians are now rubbing shoulders with Chinese and Russian Millionaires in the London

I was at work "jejely" (Quietly) Minding my own business when I saw my colleague reading a news and in the headline was "Nigerian". I was very quick to ask, what now.....another bashing for Nigerians eh!

Only to realize it was dailymail.co.uk reporting that "Nigerians get mouth o"

In my mind I was thinking na today! its not a new thing now.

I remember when I was in Uni and we heard from an Asian landlord that a set  of newly built luxury flats were bought  cash down by Nigerians for their children studying there. I mean, no mortgage or loan, for at least 2 bedroom luxury flat in the 3rd Largest city in the UK.

Anyway back to this article of Nigerians showing off in London.

The article was about a program that aired tonight, so I quickly messaged hubby to please record it for me as I was still at work.

To say I was surprised was an understatement.

Ah Nigerian people can party and show OFF!

They are now using luxury places in London for their wedding.

I mean using Kensington palace for your wedding! The official residence of Prince William and Kate Middleton.  They will soon start renting Buckingham Palace.

It is no longer Euro or Dollar spending countries, they have gone for one of the highest currency spending countries in the world ( Pounds Sterling)

The people wey get champagne sef dey share am but the wedding planner Elizabeth Aisien  said, no o, not at Nigerian parties. Every one has a bottle of champagne to themselves. I mean a bottle each for about 3000 guests.  You can do the maths, that is over £150,000 just on champagnes (about 46 million naira) Ok now.....

There was even take home bags with luxury gifts in them!   I mean £5000 (1.5 million naira) watches, just as a thank you for attending a wedding!  Oh yes please :)

Ok it is not a big deal when it happens in Nigeria but now in the UK, in Pounds! It is a big deal

Tatler (British high class fashion and lifestyle magazine) said every third pound  spent in Harrods is spent by a Nigerian. I am sure you know what Harrods is all about?

It is all about luxury shopping. When I say Luxury I mean mega luxury.

If you dress down too much they won't let you in. If you turn up there in ripped jeans and slippers, don't bother going near the door, they will not let you in.

The dress code for CUSTOMERS is smart casual.

That is how posh it is.

So that is where Nigerians roll.

Me I don't have a problem o, as long as the money was made legitimately.

If you made your money, you need to spend it yourself. You can't take it to the grave with you na.

As you can imagine, people will be running their mouths about why the UK government is still sending foreign aids to Nigeria when they are this rich.

Little do they know that the Nigerians that can afford this kinda luxury are very very small as in 0.000000000000001 percent.

The fact that there are rich people in Nigeria also does not mean that there is no problem in the country. Aren't there rich people in the UK, are there no problems here?

Plus the British government will not stops sending it because they know what they get in return.
Of course from Oil, minerals, precious stones, metals and other kinds of businesses they run in Nigeria.

Oh well, their cup of tea.

you can watch the program yourself  here channel 5 on demand

Eamonn & Ruth: How The Other Half Lives,   9pm, Channel 5

I look forward to watching the rest of it.

Manners, Etiquettes and Manners

Hi peeps.

I have come again with my rants.

What is wrong with people?
Whatever happened to good manners?

When someone sees you and says hello especially in this part of the world, shouldn't you just answer?
And then find out if or how you know them.

This is why sometimes I don't blame the oyinbos for their fake smile, at least they smile at you even if they don't mean it.

I am the one for being courteous.

If someone sees you and smiles at you or goes a step further to say hello.  It is only fair you say hello back to them. That is the least you can do now.....abi is that too much to ask.

I use to tell off young people from church just because of this "hello/ hi "issue.

We are Christians right? if someone comes to church for the first time and you bump into them at the shopping mall later after service and you blank them like you have never seen the before!

what does that say about you?

Next week you pick up the mic and lead people to worship but see them after church and act like you have never seen the before.

Before you say han han you can't know or recognize everyone in church, i am talking about a small church so you have no excuse, and when they stop to say hello to you, it is a big shame if you don't answer.

Your character is not Christ like.

It does not hurt to say hello to someone especially if they are LOOKING AT YOU or SMILING at you.

Some of you will be complaining you don't have a man/woman.

Stay there o, if you are not approachable no one will want to talk to you.

Duh!

And if people say hello to you too, smile and answer.

It is just simple good manners, learn to say Hello and Hi, it will not kill you.

Road Rage and Naked Cyclists

So I was watching a TV program the other day called "Road Rage".

Its  was a documentary about issues between Car Drivers, Bus Drivers, Lorry Driver, Cyclists, Bikers and of course Pedestrians.....simply put, all road users

Now as a driver myself, I get really angry when I have to manouvre round bikers and cyclists.

If  hubby is ever in  the car, Oh dear! He basically screams....baby watch that cyclist like I can't see. And then I get a lecture on how a little nudge can knock them off their bicycles and kill them bla bla bla. Need I say, when he is driving, oh well you can imagine, he gives them lots of space.

I get angry with them because I think if you are a road user, you should obey the rules. That is all I want.  Its really never that straightforward is it?

Some cyclists are so unruly and it really really winds me up. Stay on the cycle lane if there is one, otherwise  if I stop at a traffic light, I expect you to do the same, If i stop at a Zebra crossing, you should do the same! but guess what. Some of them don't  or should I say loads. :(

Worse of all, some of them put their lives at risk. I mean why would any cyclist on a bicycle try and out run a huge lorry that God know how much they weigh? A lot of them get killed that way and sadly others still don't learn.

Ok picture this, a lorry was turning left into a road and a cyclist was going straight ahead, how on earth was the lorry driver supposed to see the cyclist? its bad enough that your bicycle is small, every vehicle have blind spots! lorries have blind spots too! They won't see you when you are there! duh!

Anyways, back to the program.
So lots of cyclists got on their bicycles NAKED. As in completely Naked......Ladies with their tits out in the open and guys with their balls hanging out.....eeeeewwww.

Here is a picture I found online, I didn't record the program, would have taken stills.

There are loads more on the worldwideweb :)

Anyway, it was more hilarious when a middle aged woman was interviewed and she was proper angry.

Apparently she just had a knee operation and needed to get somewhere pretty quickly but the naked cyclists are in the way.
She was really really p***d off and said the protest was more annoying because all the men had small  "willies"

That was hilarious.

My point is, I pay road tax and i did driving tests (theory and practical) If I am obeying traffic rules there is no reason why you should not.
If you are not going to do the same, don't bother getting on the road. Get on the bus!

What do ladies mean by God fearing man?

If you ask any/most single lady/ladies what they look for most in a man they would like to marry.

Guess what always comes tops on the list?

God fearing man ;)

So I  got asked this question by a man

"What do ladies mean by "God fearing man"?

A man that goes to church? Tongue speaking, spirit filled and  the rest of it?

A man that is not tongue speaking but has good morals, maybe not a frequent church goer?

A man that is  christian in the background, but treats people right and treats you like a queen?

You can interpret it in so many different ways.

What do you  mean by "God fearing man"?

Welcome again General Buhari

I know its been a while, busy is an understatement, I have been mega busy.  Woman must chop na. Apologies for being away for so long. Blame my job ;)

Anyway, while I have been away, Nigeria's new president has resumed office,  YaY!

Most of us are expecting lots from President Buhari and during his inaugural speech, he has kinda put us all in our place by saying "he belongs to everyone but he belongs to no one".  That statement left a lot of Nigerians asking questions on what he meant. Oh well, lets leave that to your imaginations.

I am sincerely hoping and praying his tenure will be good for Nigeria. Only because I want  to return to Nigeria. ( errrm, some people may disagree....lol)

I hope people will support him too rather than witch hunt him sha.

All the best President Buhari

Oh Metro newspaper ( Free daily newspaper in the UK) published a wrong picture of Buhari the other day.....I mean that is just disgraceful.
I think they should write an official apology article  with the correct picture of our new president, don't you?

Tips or Bribe

Its been a while I know. *covers face*

Work has been so busy and I barely have the chance to get on my PC let alone blog.

Anyway straight to the matter at hand.

Tips and Bribe.

What do you think? I think they are two different things but errm someone thinks they are the same but media paints it differently.

Where I came from Bribe is when you pay someone to do what they SHOULD usually do. Or better still to do what they are paid to do but because they are slackers and want to extort money from you, they ask for it.

Tips on the other hand is when you get an impressive service and you just give something to say thank you.

What do you think?

Some people are taking tips to the extreme though.
Tips are not meant to be asked for! Apparently some restaurant staff rely on tips. Common guys, there is something called "salary".

You all get paid and you shouldn't harass people for tips. I heard on the radio the other day that, some restaurant staff in the states actually ran after a customer asking for tips. Needless to say, he didn't get it.

Its kinda annoying really.

I would give a tip when I get a good service, not cos you ask for it or expect it.

As for bribes, I dunno o. People give bribes everywhere to get round.  Its in the news so much in African countries but I can tell you it happens all over the world.

Would you give tips when you get good services? Anywhere i.e hotels, restaurants, airports, bars etc.

Would you bribe someone to get something done? When they are already getting paid to do that thing.

Lets hear your views.

Bed time :)

See you all later

David Cameron- British New Prime Minister

I said new because the Conservative party won the UK elections 2015.

This time they did it alone. I mean David Cameron will be prime minister all by himself, no coalition with any other party.

Good on them. I can't help but wonder where the voters came from though. #justsaying

Was listening to the radio this morning  and only one person phoned and was excited about the win.

Makes me wonder  who and who voted? A million dollar question. Lets not go into that.

Some people are saying Cameron's visit to Festival of life worked? Oh Jonathan did the same now? And didn't win, so pleeeeeease, spare me that.
Common guys, If you see the kinda text messages going round in the African community, you won't even think that way. They were listing everything he did wrong and saying clearly DO NOT VOTE for the Conservatives.

Oh well, I am waiting patiently to see how he will perform. To the working class, the disable,  the NHS and a lot more, only time will tell.

Scottish Nation Party though, I mean they cleared the whole of Scotland. I mean 56 seats out of 59 seats, neat win for the SNPs. Nicola Sturgeon is mega pleased.

I am just very surprised. Were they not the ones that voted against Referendum late last year. As in the majority voted to stay in the United Kingdom, not be on their own like the Republic of Ireland.....You get?

Now I am confused. What has changed?

Is this ever going to be United Kingdom again?

Once again, only time will tell.

Women - Having Cesarean Section means You Didn't Give Birth?

Women get in here

Ok what is this nonsense I am hearing/reading?

Have you seen this picture around lately?>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Disciples of the New Dawn"  (a supposed christian religious group) are saying that if you didn't have your baby the natural way (Vaginal birth) you didn't really give birth.

Choooooo, say what?

Ok, I am not surprised! They are led by a man, father Patrick Embry, only a man can come come up with something like this.
Oh I'm sorry, let me  not generalize, some men are sensible enough to know better.

He is suppose to be a Rev father right? What does he even know about child birth.

Some people have no clue do they?

Their group must be really really sad and ignorant!

Do you know what it takes to carry a pregnancy and loose it at the very end just because you want to "push".

Do you know how many babies and sometimes mothers that have lost their lives in the process?

Who wants a scar? But some women have no choice.
You people should do your research before coming out with stuffs like this.

Does medical reasons sound any good to you?

And for the people that chose to have it as an easy option, is it not their body? How is that anyone's business?

Abeg, make i no waste my anger on you sef.

Mumu people.

Pastor Adeboye Endorses David Cameron- UK prime Minister?

So David Cameron, British prime minister showed up at Festival of Life last night and everyone's going ga ga about it!  Saying things are really changing, Britain is getting better and all the likes of it

Are you guys being serious?

For the people not in the UK,  Festival of Life in the UK is  the equivalent of Holy Ghost Congress in Nigeria. It happens like 3/4 times a year. I'm not sure.

Every time it happens, it is always packed. I mean we are talking more than 45,000  RCCG members  from all over the UK meet at the 02 Arena for FOL, so basically the biggest gathering of Christians in the UK

UK elections are round the corner and the campaigns have started. So politicians will do anything to get votes.

So my fellow Nigerians/ Africans, David Cameron only came to "buga" you all.

Was it not this same man that attacked the sanctity of marriage? Was it not this man that saw to it that churches MUST now marry same sex couples? Even when his own party member said the civil partnership they had was good enough.

Oh for us Immigrants to the UK, please check the Conservatives immigration policies.  They will send all immigrants away any day any time, if given the chance to.

So before they send you all back home you berra wake up and vote wisely.

So it was not a privilege to have him, he was just passing by.

Oh guess where he went after FOL? The Sikh festival.

He learnt from Goodluck Jonathan na, remember he did the same when he was campaigning? And see where that landed us

Do not be deceived, he just came to  campaign  and get your votes.

Accountability in Churches

I have come again, you will have to bear with me while I rant.

Why can't Nigerian pastors be accountable to their members?

I don't mean for them to go into so much details and I also don't mean tell everyone that comes through the church doors how you make and spend money.

Personally I think if you are a regular church goer and you can say this is my church, and pay your tithe to that church, the church owes it to you to let you know how money is spent.

Its called being accountable to your members.

I used to go to a Pentecostal church and it was managed by "oyinbos". We don't even have a session for offering, yet they church makes money. People even pay tithes by direct debit every month.

You can't try that in a Nigerian church o, just because you don't trust the pastorate? Let me not generalize, maybe some people do it.

In my old church, every April, we got a statement on how much the church makes and how much we spend on what what and what. Most people don't bother reading it but the fact that it is there makes a lot of people chill out.

So my fellow  Nigerians, do you have annual meetings to talk about income and expenditures? Or  is it too much to ask from our leaders to be transparent.

Maybe not to everyone in church but surely to the members? or fellow ministers?

I remember when I was very young, there was something called AGM (Annual General Meeting) for church member, I obviously had no clue what it was but i knew it was full of numbers and all. So does it still happen?

Are you a committed member of any church? Does it bother you? Do you get told anything?

Oh well, ranting over, its bed time.

New week ahead

Happy days!

African Leaders Attitude To Terrorism

Seriously is it just me or our African leaders are clueless?

I am sure you are aware of what happened in Garissa Kenya recently. 147 university students were killed by the militant Islamic group Al Shabab. Guess what! The world moved on as if nothing had happened the very next day. I mean this incident is meant to be trending worldwide but media houses are barely saying anything about it.

You remember Charlie Hebdo, it was in the news worldwide for WEEKS and people sent their condolences from everywhere around the world. Like that was not recent enough, the German plane crash recently nko? The whole world once again acknowledged it. Those people died through not fault of theirs.

So please what happened to the Kenyan Students? Young African kids that are just trying to make something out of their lives and to have their lives cut short by some terrorist groups and no one even acknowledges something happened! Its just awful.

Their president at least came out to address the country and deployed soldiers on the same day.......

This reminds me of when the chibok girls were kidnappped, how long did it take our president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to come out to address the nation and calm the populace? More than 2 weeks.

So Kudos to President Kenyatta Of Kenya for not following in GEJ's footsteps. To the other African presidents who didn't come out openly to condemn and sympathize with Kenya, this is a BIG shame.

If the other Continents don't care about Africans, why can't we look after our own?

What happened to being your brother's keeper?

I hear they want to do some summit about Boko Haram? About blooming time!
It will be interesting to know what the outcome is.

GMB -- Change is here!

Oh well, you all probably know by now that APC won Nigeria's presidential elections.

The "Change" that everyone wants is here.

This election has been full of drama mehn!

I bet you had yours too. From not going to bed and watching ChannelsTV and TVC.

I was watching both "covers face" at the same time just so I don't miss anything.

I am pleased that the elections went well and the dedications of people, through the rain and sun..... Surely things can only get better for Nigeria.

I just hope and pray that the "Change" delivers. I know its not going to be overnight but come MAY 29 , we shall see.
It will be good though if the average Nigerian starts to think about changing themselves. Not just our leaders, CHANGE starts with us. Nothing is ever straight forward in Nigeria. You want something, you bribe your way round it. And when you ask questions, you just get told that is just how it is.
I ask so many questions and I just get told to let sleeping dogs lie. If we want real CHANGE, let it start with you. This amazing man of God sums it up very nicely in this video.
Please watch it for your own good.

Nigerian Elections LIVE

This much awaited election has been and gone but we still don't know the results.
I was not there but a lot of people commended the  INEC Chairman, Professor Jega. Saying that elections ran smoothly and fairly in lots of places.
International observers also brought good reports on the elections so who do we believe? INEC, angry Nigerians or Observers?

Having said that, lots of people are still angry that there was still some rigging going on. I saw on TV today that some set of people were protesting that they haven't voted so where did INEC get the result from?
So was the elections free and fair as they claimed?
Why the delay in the results coming out?

I have been trying to catch up on the results, but its still no where to be found. How hard can it be to collate results?
Its been more than 48 hours now. Na wa o.  They said it will be released at 8pm but its no where to be found. Only in Nigeria. If it was straight forward why haven't they released the full result?

I am very surprised I am interested, let alone following it....I suppose I am very much Nigerian and can't deny the fact that I want to the best for the country.

You can follow it here on  CHANNELSTV

Girls Girls Girls and Guys

What is wrong with girls nowadays.

I mean ladies. Ladies that are old enough to be  married or be in a kind of relationship

I see a lot of near 30 or over still acting like they are 21. Ok o, sit down there and hope your fairy tale prince charming is coming.

I am all for having taste and going for the best , don't get me wrong. Because you are over 30 does not mean you should just settle for anyone, NO. But when its starts getting to the stage where you don't have realistic expectations... girls, please get a grip.

You know you are single and a guy is trying to chat you up but what does he get?  Abuse! Some girls no dey try at all. A girl once said to a guy on a date, " Gosh you are so short". I was like ehn? How did it come out of her mouth. This girl is still single o. The so called short guy is now married, happily married in fact.

And Miss Single Lady is currently still single.

Give the brothers a chance to at least try, stop shutting them out and still complain that there are no good guys.

I am tired of hearing girls say there are no good guys out there and guys say the same too.
So who is right or wrong? I can't answer that question but here is what I think.

Personal opinion o, before you shoot me. Feel free to share yours.

Some girls have suffered, struggled and eventually made something out of their lives so its only fair that they get someone who works hard too and not someone that want to rely on them. Or at least someone who is prepared to work hard.  But men of nowadays.....chai, there are some very very lazy men out there. Same way men think women wants a ready made man,  some women think same too.

So who is right, again, personal opinion, no one should rely on any
one. Be your own person. Make your own money and support each other.

You hear?
Guys out there, stop looking for a perfect lady, because Bunmi is the only perfect one out there and I have been taken..... :)  Just joking o. No one is perfect.

Seriously, you are not perfect either, so why slag ladies off for being too short, too fat, small chest, small bum.

News flash! she can't change any of those things. Ok, she can try and lose weight but you get the gist.
Cut the ladies some slack.

Some of you guys would have slept with everything in skirt and yet you will want to clean woman....there is God o!

Here is my 2 cents, A good relationship is when someone accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future. ( not my quote o, found it somewhere online)

Happy Mother's Day

To all women out there,

A very happy mother's day too you all.

I use to think not until you have a child of your own, you are not a mother.
But I was corrected by my sister from another mother, (Tuti) she said if you have ever looked after your siblings, husband, friends, if you have ever provided anyone a shoulder to lean on, if you have ever felt any compassion for a suffering child of an adult and much more, you are a mother.

So to every mother out there, happy mother's day.

God will grant all the waiting mothers the desires of our heart. This time next year, we will carry our own children in Jesus name.

Chai, praying mama!

I better go to bed, its been a very long day.  The Excellent men in my church have a packed day planned for us tomorrow. I am actually looking forward to it.

Men, treat your wives today. No cooking for them. Do the cooking for a change today and ladies put your feet up.  Tell them BUNMI said so.

Church People and Their Wahala

I don't know about you but I personally think Christians are the worse set of people to relate with.

Ok....That is very vague. I apologize, let me not generalize. Lets say some of them are hard to deal with.

But really what do you think? I mean Nigerians this time in fact.

Have you ever had to deal with Christian Nigerians, both in Church or Outside Church.

Some of "US" are awful. (I said "us" because I am a christian)   Ok maybe I shouldn't say Christians, church goers? No jor, if you go to church, in an ideal world, you should be a Christian.

What happens to being a Christian and being a good christian?

Most people are Christians in church and outside church they are  different people entirely.

Ok this might sound somehow but if you are a christian, aren't you meant to be obeying traffic laws?  ( Just an example, that is the only thing that came to mind now)

If its 30 miles per hour and you intentionally always do 40 just because you know the route and there is no speed camera there.....Shocking!

Christians tend to leave Christianity in church on Sunday after service and pick it up again weekend after......

Some people curse others or get involved in  road rage right after service......Patience people, its a virtue .
Character is very very important. Or maybe i'm wrong, please feel free to tell me what you think.

And there are some "hollier than thou" Christians. Those set of people really really annoy me.

No body holy pass o. In fact I am not a saint too, still a work in progress but you will agree there are some over sabi ( I too Know)  Christians.

Ok story for another day.

Ranting over for now.....I shall be back

Imagine, I start a new blog and this is what comes out first......must be a "heavy something" on my mind eh!

Hello Everyone

Hi guys....

Yet another blog....I know.

Been wanting to start one for ages but .......I don't know why I didn't.

Guess it is that time now and this is it.

So you will have to bear with me and my rantings.
